I tend to end up in the middle of complicated things.
My career doesn't fit especially neatly into a single function. I've worked across strategy, operations, communications, technology, organizational growth, public policy, research, and executive leadership.
The job titles vary. The work underneath them is surprisingly consistent: understand the problem, figure out who and what it involves, build what's missing, and move it forward.
Environmental Research & Education Foundation
Communications Director
I work with the President & CEO and across the organization on initiatives involving research, organizational strategy, communications, planning, and execution. I've built organization-wide planning systems, AI-enabled workflows, and project processes designed to improve coordination and accountability, translating complicated scientific and organizational issues into something decision-makers can actually use.
MyMatR
Head of Marketing & Revenue Strategy, Fractional
An environmental technology startup using AI and computer vision to improve waste and recycling. I work with the CEO across commercialization, operational planning, product positioning, go-to-market strategy, and revenue growth — building cross-functional systems connecting sales, marketing, customer development, and product priorities. During this period the company expanded from a single-product business into a broader AI platform and increased revenue 84% year over year.
The Bizzarro Agency
Chief of Marketing, Fractional
My work has expanded far beyond marketing: I advise executive leadership on organizational strategy, team structure, process improvement, AI implementation, and growth, and built and launched a Global Operations Group to standardize workflows across engagements. Annual sales volume grew from roughly $90 million to $150 million, transactions increased from 81 to more than 200, and the agent team expanded from roughly 20 to more than 50.
North Carolina Professional Lobbyists Association
Executive Director
I led operations for a statewide professional association representing government affairs professionals — strategic planning, budgeting, governance, membership, conferences, and stakeholder engagement, translating board priorities into organizational execution. Membership increased approximately 20% and financial reserves improved 44%.
North Carolina Master Chorale
Marketing & Operations Manager
I worked across operations, communications, donor relations, publications, branding, and audience development for a statewide nonprofit arts organization, helping rebuild its operating structure and leading a comprehensive rebrand during an executive leadership transition.
